This section is all about the venues and suppliers I have worked with over the years doing my wedding photography. Within the Northwest, you have Cheshire, Liverpool, Manchester & Cumbria; all with fantastic venues and settings. Also I do get around in Northern Wales & throughout Yorkshire again all with great venues.
So within this section I will showcase a few sample images of weddings at different venues I have had the pleasure of working within over the years. Its a great way to see sample images from a photographer perspective so you can see what you can get for your wedding day.
Higher Trapp Hotel in Burnley
Higher Trapp country house hotel is a lovely hotel within Burnley, situated in the Pendle Valley. This Hotel offers comfort, luxury and warm hospitality and with the surrounding settings of the 4 acre gardens with the beautiful conservatory it is something you would not be disappointed having your wedding.
The choice of having a wedding indoors and outdoors with both beautiful settings really makes your wedding day that extra bit special.
Within late 2019, I worked at this venue for a lovely couple and the day was absolutely amazing inside and out. The interior has fantastic modern elegance with up to date facilities and extremely friendly staff.
Although I worked here during the winter months, I can tell by the setting of the garden, as well as the layout of the area, it would be a fantastic venue for spring and summer weddings that will not disappoint and to enjoy outdoor photography with an amazing building is a great addition towards you having some fantastic pictures.
charnock farm in leyland
Charnock farm is a family owned business situated on the outskirts of Leyland. This venue holds some fantastic areas all around and would not disappoint on getting some fantastic photography whether its all indoors or out.
The farm as it suggests has farm animals such as chickens, donkeys, ducks, ponies etc all open to the public as well. There is a small pond located near the farm animals and local restaurant which is a fantastic spot to do some great photography for couple shots.
Inside the venue is very rustic with beautiful light wooden beams, excellent lighting all around and to top it off a lovely front entrance showcasing the beautiful white wooden barn doors with Charnock farm.
This venue was a recent one for 2020 and had a lovely setting to which I cannot wait to come back here again within the spring and summer for more future weddings to come.
St Georges Hall in liverpool
St George's Hall has got to be one of Liverpool's most iconic areas situated within the centre of Liverpool for congregation and celebration. The building is a majestic building full of ruch history, elegance and grandeur, which will not disappoint you for your wedding day pre-arrangements.
The stunning Roman Architecture of the building along with the urban setting can give your wedding day a journalistic and cinematic feel for your wedding images.
I have had the pleasure of photographing a number of weddings and civil services over the years and I am still taken back by this venue. The staff are amazing and the registrars are extremely friendly and accomodating.
Hilltop Country House in macclesfield
Hilltop country house is a beautiful and well kept venue situated in the Cheshire countryside in Macclesfield. On your wedding day you will have at your feet so much for what this offers you and your wedding day. Fields, woodland, borders, ponds etc surround the house.
The 17th century house offers original architecture with fantastic room settings to get the most glorious organic shots. Towards the rear of the house is the marquee which showcases elegance that will look amazing on the celebration day.
Finally the house offers a choice of weddings in the marquee, terrace or the garden. So for your wedding day you can get a choice of what you would like for your wedding day setup.
This venue is a photographers dream to get the most out of photography for a wedding day and even if the weather isn't on your side the house and marquee offer so much that it won't disappoint.
The Fishermans Retreat in ramsbottom
The Fishermans retreat over in Ramsbottom is a very unique wedding venue set in the Lancashire countryside. This venue has a rustic feel mixed with modernism inside. You will feel at home and very comfortable with this venue and offers some great photography for you and your guests. Outdoors you will have full access to the grounds and the amazing fishing lodge where you get the kids and feed trout!!!
The beautiful grounds also make it a great venue for wedding photography if your wanting the scenic and dramatic photographs.
I have been to this venue on a few occassions and it has got to be a unique and friendly environment which also serves some great food!! Hidden away up hill away from passing traffic you will get a peaceful end to your wedding day with some spectacular photography where you can see in the distance Peel Tower. A venue I love going to and somewhere you will enjoy having natural uninterrupted photographs.
